So, who is this Jesus?
For the person who just wants to find out who Jesus is. This course will take 3 sessions of around 45 minutes each. 20 minutes of each session will be watching a DVD (don’t worry if you haven’t got a TV or DVD!). This high quality production is presented by actor Russell Boulter; it describes who Jesus is and why he came, in a jargon-free ‘Travelogue’ style as Russell visits different locations in Israel. The DVD includes testimonies of people whose lives have been changed through believing in Jesus, including one-time gang leader Brian Russ.

Alpha Course
The Alpha Course has had a great impact throughout the United Kingdom, and in fact across the world. In this country it is estimated that around 10 % of the population have attended an Alpha Course. The course is supported by all the main Christian denominations. We present just a few questions and answers you may have about Alpha below. Over the years, many people here at Aldwick Free have both enjoyed and benefited from attending it.
What is Alpha?
The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun. Anyone who is not yet a Christian and has some awareness of God but wants to ask questions about God and the Bible. Alpha educates in basics of Christian faith, and provides for opportunity to encounter God in an environment where all questions are handled seriously and sensitively.
What happens at an Alpha meeting?
There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other. We then watch and listen to a video, learn, discuss and discover. Alpha is not so much a meeting but a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

The Alpha course consists of around 10-12 meetings which inlcudes series of talks on video looking at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’, ‘Why and How do I pray?’ and many other questions. After each subject is presented, we discuss together what we have seen and heard.
Is Alpha for me?
Alpha is for everyone! In particular it is geared towards: those who want to investigate Christianity, for new Christians, newcomers to our Church or just those who want to brush up on the basics!
What will Alpha cost me?
There’s no charge for attending the Alpha Course, however you may be asked to make a small contribution towards the food (money or food!).
